15A NCAC 11 .1319          SUBSURFACE‑TRACER STUDIES

(a)  Protective gloves and other appropriate protective clothing and equipment shall be used by all personnel handling radioactive tracer material.  Precautions shall be taken to avoid ingestion or inhalation of radioactive material.

(b)  No licensee shall cause the injection of radioactive material as part of a subsurface‑tracer element study without prior written authorization from any other agency which may regulate or require prior approval for such injection.
