  Enforcement

 

The formal Enforcement Program for X-Ray became effective in May 1996.  The North Carolina Radiation Protection's Enforcement Program seeks to protect the public health and safety and the environment by:

        (A)   Ensuring compliance with the North Carolina Radiation Protection Act,
               the North Carolina Regulations For Protection Against Radiation, and
               registration conditions.

        (B)   Obtaining prompt correction of violations and conditions adverse to health
               and safety or the quality of the environment.

        (C)   Deterring future violations.

        (D)   Encouraging improvement of registrant performance.
