Registered Experts and Health Physics Consultants

The North Carolina Regulations for Protection Against Radiation (15A NCAC 11 .0205) require that all individuals who are engaged in the business of "furnishing or offering to furnish any equipment services...shall apply for registration of such services with the agency prior to furnishing or offering to furnish any of these services."

Listed below are the Regulatory references which apply to registration of services (including consulting) and a listing of registered experts and consultants.

Class VI	are those individuals/businesses who are registered to perform radiation instrument calibration.
Class VII	includes those individuals/businesses who are registered to perform therapeutic facility and shielding design & area radiation survey or calibration.
Class IX	lists those individuals/ businesses who are registered for general health physics consulting (e.g., independent diagnostic radiation output measurements, dose analysis, design of safety programs and radiation safety training programs, non-healing arts facility and shielding design and area radiation surveys).
