Information on Compliance with 15A NCAC 11 .1600

In order to assist applicants and current licensees, the agency has created this portion of our website to give insight into the interpretation of certain regulations in Section .1600 "Standards For Protection Against Radiation."  The goal is to supply current agency positions and/or interpretations on varying "health and safety" regulations.

The regulations will be addressed first by presenting the rule, then by giving agency positions/interpretations of the regulation(s).   Additionally, we will present some insight on what kinds/types of documentation or other compliance information that should be available for agency review at the time of inspection.
